Usually, the CNC Machining we talk about generally refers to CNC milling, CNC Turning, CNC turning and milling combined processing, and subsequent processing techniques (such as grinding, wire cutting, or EDM processing, etc.). According to the equipment, milling processing can be divided into CNC three axis machining, CNC Four Axis Machining and CNC Five Axis Machining. The choice of equipment to process Precision Machining Parts is generally based on the complexity and accuracy of the parts.

Today we will talk about a batch of CNC turning + cylindrical grinding products that we just made recently. This product has the following characteristics:
1) The diameter of the product is relatively small, and some position accuracy requirements are relatively high (tolerance +0/-0.01mm), and it is difficult to directly CNC turning to ensure accuracy. This requires cylindrical grinding to ensure the outer diameter after CNC turning. Tolerance, as shown below:

2) The material of this product is stainless iron 420F, and the hardness of the product is required to be ≥HRC50. For this hardness, it needs to be quenched to meet the requirements, but because the outer diameter is only 1mm, the product is bent during the quenching process, which requires us to continue to improve Heat treatment process, and finally reach qualified products. This puts higher requirements on the heat treatment process.

3) Because 420F belongs to stainless iron, it will still cause rust during the use of the product. The drawing requires 48 hours of saturated fresh water steam at room pressure without corrosion test, so we have carried out passivation treatment on the surface of the product, and the non-rust iron passivation and There are differences in passivation of stainless steel, and we have achieved the best results after constant attempts. The picture below shows the effect of our product's water vapor test.

The above case is just a small case we encountered in the production process. Although the product is small and looks simple, it still needs to work hard to meet the requirements.
