Normal Process flow of CNC machining center programming for newcomers

For CNC Precision Machining Parts producing, regardless of whether you are a newcomer or not, when programming, you should follow the programming process, otherwise, it is very easy to make mistakes. First of all, it is necessary to analyze the drawings, write the process sheet, etc., and then write the processing program of the workpiece, then input the program to the CNC machine tool, and finally carry out the program inspection and cutting test.
1) Analyze the drawings

When the mold is processed on the CNC machine tool, the original data obtained by the programmer is the part drawing. According to the part drawing, the shape, dimensional accuracy, surface roughness, workpiece material, blank type and heat treatment condition of the part can be analyzed, and then the machine tool can be selected, the positioning and clamping device, the processing method, the processing sequence and the cutting amount can be determined. In the process of this, the performance of the CNC machine tool used should be fully considered, and its functions should be fully exerted, so as to achieve a reasonable processing route, fewer tool passes and short processing hours. In addition, relevant process technical documents should be filled in, such as CNC Machining process card, CNC tool card and tool routing map.

(2) Write a program
Programmers should select reasonable processing methods and cutting parameters according to the results of process analysis and the characteristics of programming software, and write efficient programs. For example, to use UG software to program, you need to be familiar with various programming methods of UG and the meaning of each parameter. Now every country is paying attention to the development of industry. Strong industrial development has become a strong label for a country. Since UG entered the Chinese market, the development speed is unstoppable. The market share is rising steadily. The prospect of learning UG is good, not because UG is a powerful module, but UG can make a set of molds with one software, and other software knowledge has advantages in a certain field.
(3) Input program
The methods of inputting the machining program into the CNC machine tool include: photoelectric reader, keyboard, magnetic disk, magnetic tape, memory card, RS232 interface and network, etc. At present, the commonly used methods are: input the program through the keyboard; transfer the machining program to the program memory of the CNC machine tool through the communication interface between the computer and the CNC system (now some new CNC machine tools have been equipped with a large-capacity memory card to store the machining program as a CNC machine tool program). It is also possible to transfer the program from the computer to the machine tool while processing.
(4) Inspection procedures and trial cutting
The CNC program must be inspected and trial cut before it can be formally processed. Generally, the simulation module of numerical control software can be used to simulate processing on the computer to judge whether there is a collision, less cutting and more cutting. It is also possible to perform graphic simulation processing on a CNC machine tool with graphic simulation function to check the correctness of the tool path, but this method can only check whether the tool movement path is correct, but cannot detect the tool and tool setting errors. Because there will be machining errors due to improper tool adjustment or some calculation errors, it is necessary to carry out this important step of the first piece trial cut. When it is found that there is a machining error that does not meet the requirements of the drawings, the reasons for the errors should be analyzed, so as to modify the machining program or take measures such as tool size compensation, until the workpiece that meets the requirements of the drawings is processed.
